June Fest is launching its first ever short film event this year called, Film Focus.

All entries have been submitted and 12 of them have now been selected for screening in the “Dark Cinema Room” located downstairs at Newbridge Silverware on Saturday 8th June from 3pm to 6pm.

Reception and greetings commence at 2:45pm shortly followed by introductions to the Cinema room where all of the nominated films will be screened.

Following the screening (and a short break), an Award ceremony is scheduled for 5pm. All films will be assessed by professional judges considering camera work, story, editing, music, sound and most importantly, the overall feel of the short film. Prizes will be awarded to selected films.

Due to the limited capacity of the Cinema Room, only a very small number of people (other than the filmmakers with a plus one) can be seated so please email junefestfilmfocus@gmail.com if you would like to be considered for one of the few available spots.

We would intend that all nominated films (subject to the agreement of the respective filmmakers) will be able to be viewed through our June Fest website – further details to follow.
