Address from the Chairman

The people of Newbridge and its hinterland are proud to have a festival like June fest. It’s a celebration of all that is good in our community – a celebration through music&song, theatre, literature, art, heritage , sport and the environment. Volunteers from diverse backgrounds came together last October to begin the work of bringing it all together.

With almost sixty events programmed, delivery of such an ambitious project over the first three weeks of June is impossible without a huge commitment of time, expertise and goodwill of the various teams that make up June fest. Sincere thanks to all involved.

I am delighted to welcome the Credit Union as our main partner this year. I wish them every success  and look forward to the opening of their new office on Edward Street. I would also like to thank Crosses’ Supervalu and the Newbridge-Kildare Municipal Authority for their continued invaluable support once again. Most of all a sincere thanks to the communities of Newbridge and it’s hinterland  for their support of the different events. We are all part of this huge community celebration that is June fest. We are developing  a sustainable strategic plan to secure it’s future.

Enjoy the festival – it belongs to us all.
Thank you.
