‘CAST’ - An Exhibition by Kildare Art Collective

  • Riverbank Art Centre Main Street Newbridge, County Kildare, W12 D962 Ireland (map)

What information do you need to cast a shadow?
In the absence of sunlight is it time to cast a vote?
Can you create a cast using just a long piece of string?
Can you catch a fish by casting it in a starring role?

Cast is a free exhibition at the Riverbank Arts Centre which features the work of Kildare Art Collective members exploring the multiple meanings of ‘cast’, whether it’s casting away, casting a shadow, a doubt, a line or a glance. These works encompass an enchantment of interpretations in form, texture and expression and every piece casts a spell. This exhibition includes an array of media such as print, textile, photography, paintings and sculpture.

Join us as we cast as crew on this exploration!

Official opening Saturday 1st June, 6pm – all welcome!

To coincide with this exhibition Holly Delaney will host two simple casting workshops, one for adults on Wednesday, 12th June at 7pm (€10 to participate) and one for children (aged 8-12) and their adults on Saturday 29th June at 10.30am (€10 to participate).
